Extra Assignments. Preference shall be given to employees in the order of their senior- ity to extra work available after the completion of their day’s work, provided that such employees are available at such times as the work is assigned and are qualified to perform the work required. In no event may employees displace other employees who have not completed their assignment.

Extra Assignments. Unless otherwise authorized by the District's physician consultant, the Unit member must take leave from any hourly rate or other extra assignment with the District for the period of time the Unit member is ill or quarantined.
Extra Assignments. 1. A Bus Driver must be available to drive his/her regular daily schedule the work day of an extra assignment.
2. When the Transportation Department is requested to make any extra assignments for the Board Office, the Transportation Supervisor will assign the extra duty to a regular daily Bus Driver according to the Extra Assignment List. All Bus Drivers will be placed on the Extra Assignment List according to classification seniority. This list of names shall rotate continuously. Minimum time guaranteed will be two (2) hours where the employee’s Extra Assignment is not adjacent to his/her regular schedule.
a. Whenever any transportation vehicle is sent out for maintenance or repairs, this is an extra assignment. A regular daily Bus Driver will be used to transport the vehicle to and from the facility unless it is in the service contract that the company servicing the vehicle will transport the vehicle without any additional cost. In rare situations when the bus has major mechanical problems and may possibly break down during the transporting, the mechanic may be used instead of a regular Bus Driver.
b. Whenever the Courier needs a substitute, this will be considered an Extra Assignment and J.2 (above) will be followed.
3. Extra assignments will go out no earlier than 9:45 A.M. unless another time is specifically requested by the Transportation Supervisor.

Extra Assignments. Bargaining unit members may apply for extra duty assignments, including chaperone duties and ticket sales at the time that they are posted. Extra duties will be assigned to teachers and teacher assistants who volunteer for such duties. If, on the original sign-up the number of teacher and teacher assistant volunteers is insufficient, the extra duties may be assigned by the principal to United Support Staff bargaining unit members who applied at the time of posting. Applicants within a building where the event is being held shall be given priority over those who apply from other buildings.

Extra Assignments. Extra trip assignments shall first be assigned to bargaining unit drivers. However, the Transportation/Operations Supervisor may drive “extra trips” and act as a substitute driver in the event of the unavailability of a unit member.
