Interim Negotiations. 1. Upon mutual agreement of both parties to negotiate during the term of this Agreement and in accordance with Section 4117.08 of the Ohio Revised Code, negotiations shall begin within ten (10) calendar days after the parties mutually agree to negotiate. In the event the parties fail to reach agreement within twenty (20) calendar days after the first negotiations session, the parties agree to contact the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service (FMCS) for assistance in resolution of the disagreement. This mediation is the parties’ mutually agreed to dispute resolution procedure which supersedes and takes precedence over any inconsistency or alternative procedure set forth in Section 4117.14 of the Ohio Revised Code.
2. If agreement is not reached within twenty (20) calendar days after the first mediation session, the provision of O.R.C. 4117.14(D)(2) shall apply.
Interim Negotiations. It is recognized by the Board of Education and the BVPA that all situations and developments could not be anticipated at the time this Agreement was negotiated. Change(s) in the Agreement during its effective dates may be negotiated when the parties mutually agree that proposed change(s) is necessary. If as a result of such negotiations agreement is reached on proposed change(s), such change(s), will be presented to the BVPA’s Executive Board and the Board of Education for ratification. If both parties ratify the proposed change(s), such change(s) will be signed by the Board and BVPA presidents and will become amendment(s) to the existing Agreement. If the issue(s) under consideration in interim negotiations cannot be resolved, the issue(s) may become topic(s) for the next negotiations.
Interim Negotiations. This provision is not intended to allow for changing the language or the intent of the existing Agreement outside of the normal bargaining cycle when the Agreement is open for negotiation. From time to time, however, matters arise that the parties may need to address in a timely manner and when waiting until the next negotiations period is not practicable. Therefore, during the term of this Agreement and between regularly scheduled bargaining sessions, the parties may choose to engage in interim negotiations. 6-4-1 Such negotiations may be initiated by the Association with a request to the Superintendent or by the District with a request to the Association President. Following a discussion of the purpose of the requested negotiations, the Superintendent and Association President will decide if the matter will be addressed and what group of individuals will be given the responsibility for addressing the matter. There would be no commitment to a particular outcome. The matter could be referred to an existing body such as the Educational Initiatives Panel, the Agreement Review Committee (ARC) or the Instructional Issues Council, or the Superintendent and Association President may agree to appoint a special committee to address the matter. 6-4-2 Generally, the matters to be addressed will be those substantive in nature and which impact the operation of the District and/or the operation of this Agreement.
Interim Negotiations. 5-3-1 At any time during the term of this Agreement, either party may request a meeting to discuss any problem or concern. The moving party shall initiate this request by delivering a letter detailing the problem or concern and citing the provisions in the Agreement which relate to the problem or concern.
Interim Negotiations. If interim bargaining is required either by this agreement or by law during the term of this contract, the parties agree to bargain the issue(s) for a period of time not to exceed fifteen
Interim Negotiations. 29.2.1 - The Parties recognize the University's full right to direct the work for and to issue rules, policies, procedures and practices. Subject to the bargaining requirements of ORS 243.698, the University may change or issue rules, policies, procedures and practices, provided they do not conflict with specific provisions of this Agreement. The University will notify the GEU at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of any changes over which it has a duty to bargain under ORS 243.698.
Interim Negotiations. A. During the term of this Agreement, if there is any change in state law which would invalidate any provision of this Agreement, the parties will meet to negotiate any necessary change in the Agreement relative to the affected provision only.
B. If either party desires to change any section of this Agreement, that party shall present to the other a written request which shall specify the areas where change is sought. If the parties mutually agree, then interim bargaining will commence.
Interim Negotiations. From time to time during the term of this Agreement, grievances which have been timely filed concerning the interpretation and application of the provisions of this Agreement may be "Suspended" pursuant to the provisions of a Letter Agreement dated November 1, 1973, as amended January 1, 1974. Additionally, Company and Union may agree to enter into interim negotiations to clarify, modify, add to, or delete from the provisions of this Agreement. This Title authorizes the establishment of Ad Hoc Negotiating Committees from time to time to resolve such disputes. (Amended 1-1-94)

If approved, the Memorandum will be binding on both parties but will be reviewed at the next formal bargaining session.
Interim Negotiations. This Agreement incorporates the entire understanding of the parties on all matters, which were or could have been the subject of negotiation. During the term of this Agreement, neither party shall be required to negotiate with respect to any matter, whether or not covered by this Agreement and whether or not within the knowledge or contemplation of either or both of the parties at the time they negotiated or executed this Agreement.
