Faculty Appeals Board. The Faculty Appeals Board shall consist of five members from among the tenured faculty of the University, appointed by the President in the spring of each year for the following academic year. The AAUP-AFT may provide advice to the President on membership of the Faculty Appeals Board prior to March 1. The members of the Faculty Appeals Board shall select their own chair and a vice-chair. Decisions of the Faculty Appeals Board shall be by majority vote of the members participating in the particular proceeding. At least three of its members must participate in any proceeding. No person shall serve on the Faculty Appeals Board for a case in which he/she has participated in the evaluation process. The AAUP-AFT shall notify the grievant of the Board's members.
