Faculty Member and University Obligations. a. The faculty member agrees to remain in the employ of the University for a minimum of one year after the completion of a research and scholarship leave. b. A faculty member on research and scholarship leave shall be entitled automatically to any general salary increase and to any increase in fringe benefits which is granted to the faculty as a whole during the leave. c. During the research and scholarship leave, the University shall continue the withholdings and deductions required by law or for fringe benefits, including retirement plan contributions. d. A faculty member on research and scholarship leave will continue to accrue seniority during the leave.
