Faculty Members: Terms of Appointment. a. Initial probationary appointments at the rank of Lecturer and Assistant Professor shall normally be for a period of thirty-six (36) months and shall terminate on the thirtieth of June. The University shall inform the Union of the reasons for making any initial probationary appointment for a period other than thirty-six (36) months.
