Failure to Successfully Complete Trial Periods. Employees who voluntarily decide to return to their former classification during the trial period or who fail to successfully complete the trial period will be entitled to return to their former classification position with no loss of seniority, as long as the position vacated due to transfer has not been permanently filled. Employees who return shall maintain their previous pay band position. If the former classification position has been permanently filled, returning employees shall be considered laid off and shall retain the recall rights provided for in Article 11, Layoff.
