FEDERAL AND STATE TAX. 33.1 The CITY is exempt from Federal Tax and State Tax for Tangible Personal Property. The Procurement Official will provide the CONTRACTOR with a signed exemption certificate submitted by the CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR shall not be exempted from paying sales tax to their suppliers for materials to fulfill contractual obligations with the CITY, nor shall CONTRACTOR be authorized to use the City’s Tax Exemption Number in securing such materials.
