Final Decision by the Board. The case shall be reviewed by the Board, as follows: 1. Board review shall be based on the record of the hearing below and on any record made before the Board. 2. The Board may permit an opportunity for oral or written argument or both by the Parties or their representatives. 3. The board may hold such other proceedings as it deems advisable. 4. The final decision to dismiss or not to dismiss shall rest, with respect to both the facts and the decision, with the Board after giving reasonable consideration to the recommendations of the dismissal review committee. 5. The dismissal review committee’s proposed findings, conclusions and recommended decision shall be advisory only and in no respect binding in fact or law upon the Board. 6. The Board shall, within 20 days following the conclusion of its review, notify the charged faculty member in writing of its final decision, and the effective date of dismissal, if any.
