Special Assignments. Special assignments shall not be considered breaks in service or affect the privileges and the status of that person with the University. Any special conditions of such special assignments shall be clearly set forth in writing. They shall become binding only after having been signed by the unit member concerned and by the appropriate chancellor, or designee.

Special Assignments. 8.01.01 An employee who accepts a temporary assignment to represent the Company outside a location within their base shall be paid a premium of one-dollar ($1.00) an hour for all time worked, and all hours worked outside their scheduled shift shall be credited in accordance with Article 7 or Article 13. In addition, the employee shall be reimbursed for all necessary out-of-pocket expenses including, but not limited to, expenses incurred for meals, transportation, parking and grooming. 8.01.02 The Company agrees to endeavour, to the extent possible, to solicit applications from all employees at the base and to consider all such applications. 8.01.03 Where the temporary assignment under this Article will exceed five (5) days, the Company will consider splitting the assignment, where possible, between two or more employees.
Special Assignments. A bureau may re-assign any employee to an assignment in another work unit for up to sixty (60) days. Any employee(s) so assigned will have the right to return to their originally bid work at the conclusion of the assignment or after sixty (60) days. Employees re-assigned continue to accrue seniority in their previous work unit and may bid on other assignments during the special assignment, but will not move to that new assignment until the conclusion of the special assignment. The duration of the special assignment may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and Union(s) involved.
Special Assignments. The District may assign a line employee to an assignment and schedule other than that specified by Section 1002 in order to perform a special project for up to one hundred eighty-two (182) days. If the employee and the District both agree to extend the assignment beyond the 182-day period, on the day thereafter the employee's station position shall be considered vacant and subject to the transfer procedure set forth in this Section. The benefits set forth in Section 2207-D shall not be available to an employee agreeing to remain in the special assignment beyond 182 days. Special Assignments. LHE-Based Assignments: Other than classroom and laboratory assignments, an adjunct faculty member will be compensated on a 45 clock hours equals one LHE basis for all activities including, but not limited to, the following: A. An adjunct faculty member who is appointed by the College administration to sponsor an academic student club will be compensated on an LHE basis. The number of LHEs appropriate to a given advisor will be determined by the kind of responsibility, number of hours worked and commitment demanded. The number will be recommended by the Xxxx/Director in consultation with the Director of Student Activities and approved by the Vice President for Academic Affairs. B. An adjunct faculty member who is appointed to serve as a peer resource person will be compensated .033 LHE and work15 hours with each faculty member assigned. No adjunct faculty member will be assigned more than three (3) LHEs for these activities during any given term. C. An adjunct faculty member who agrees to prepare a new course proposal and/or syllabus will be compensated on an LHE basis. The number of LHEs appropriate to a given course will be recommended by the Xxxx in consultation with the faculty member and as approved by the Academic Council and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. LHE are assigned based upon the number of clock hours (45 hours= 1 LHE) anticipated to complete the work. This provision applies to all course/syllabus development regardless of mode of delivery. D. WSAT test administration and/or readings, which shall be paid at 1/45 (.022) LHE per hour. E. Specified committee assignments as mutually agreed upon by the Association and the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Based on institutional need, such committee assignments normally will comprise those committees addressing teaching/learning issues and college wide governance. This shall be paid at 1/45 (.022) LHE per hour. F. Assignment to search committees pertinent to adjunct faculty members’ interests and any other College committees requiring extensive out-of-meeting assignments (as agreed to at time of the appointment). This work will be paid at 1/30 (.033) LHE per clock hour. G. Contracts and compensation for other services to the College not delineated in this Collective Bargaining Agreement (including classroom, laboratory, coaching, tutoring and library services) are not subject to any terms of this Agreement, including those provided for the Alliance for Lifelong Learning and the Business...
Special Assignments. 1. All field trips, special activity trips, and mid-day substituted driving are defined as special assignments. 2. Drivers are responsible for keeping the Transportation Department informed of their availability and desire for special assignments and the hours of their regular routes. 3. Probationary bus drivers will be called for special assignments only if regular drivers are not available. 4. Upon reasonable request, the BVCEA will be provided access to the special assignment records of the Transportation Department.
Special Assignments. By the special nature of certain departments, a chair or coordinator may perform duties that are not part of the chair or coordinator duties specified in sections 13.03.A-C, or generally considered as chair or coordinator duties common to most departments. This does not apply to the teaching of Night School or Summer School.
