First Aid Certification. In addition to the requirements of the Workers' Compensation Board Regulations where two or more employees are required to work in isolated locations, the Employer shall ensure that at least one employee is in possession of a valid Level 1 First Aid Certificate, whenever reasonably practical.
First Aid Certification. .1 When the Employer requires an employee to perform first aid duties as part of his/her job requirements, reasonable costs of obtaining or receiving First Aid certification shall be paid by the Employer. Any employees so required shall be given reasonable opportunity to obtain said certification and upon receiving certification shall be paid in addition to his/her classification rate of pay as follows: Occupational First Aid, Level 3* $140.00 per month Occupational First Aid, Level 1* $ 60.00 per month *Or other courses that are equivalent to and recognized by, WCB.
.2 When an employee is requested and authorized by the College to provide Occupational First Aid, Level 3 coverage on an casual or temporary relief/replacement basis, they shall be paid seven (7) dollars per day.
First Aid Certification. Each Health Aide must have or obtain First Aid Certification, at his/her own expense, within three (3) months of hire.
First Aid Certification. District agrees to provide one class per year, at no charge, to all employees.

b) When an employee is requested and authorized by the College to provide Occupational First Aid, Level 3 coverage on a casual or temporary relief/replacement basis, they shall be paid $7.26 per day. As of January 1, 2024, the rate will increase to $7.75 per day and on January 1, 2025, it will be $7.90 per day.
First Aid Certification. 26.1 Where an employee does not hold a first aid certificate but is required to obtain a certificate, all reasonable costs associated with obtaining such a certificate shall be borne by the employer.
First Aid Certification. Any employee who holds a valid OFA Level III ticket will receive a premium of $.50/hour (provided the position they are working in does not require it). The company will pay the tuition and book costs of the training (½ up front, ½ at successful completion). No wages will be paid during this training. As per attached document.
First Aid Certification. (a) Part-time employees with seniority who are required by the Employer to have an OFA Level II certification or an OFA Level III certification shall be eligible to have their re-certifications subsidized as per the following eligibility requirements:
(1) For part-time employees with seniority who have completed three (3) or more years of service, the below eligibility requirements shall be averaged over the previous three (3) years (for example – if the employee averages 700+ hours per year over the three (3) year period, their subsidy shall be fifty percent (50%): • 700+ hours = fifty percent (50%) subsidy; • 500 hours – 699 hours = forty percent (40%) subsidy; • 300 hours – 499 hours = thirty percent (30%) subsidy
(2) For part-time employees with seniority who have not completed three (3) years of services, the above eligibility requirements shall apply on the basis of the previous year, as applicable.
(3) To be eligible for this subsidy the employee must not be eligible for subsidization through any other organization, they must not be employed in a full-time capacity with another organization and original recertification documentation and receipts must be provided to the Human Resources Department prior to the subsidy being granted.

First Aid Certification. 8.2.1 Where the Company requires an employee to obtain and/or maintain the appropriate first-aid qualification, the Company shall reimburse the cost of fees for such courses.
