Common use of Five Days or Less Clause in Contracts

Five Days or Less. If an employee is off work due to illness or injury for five (5) days or less, the Employer may request a medical certificate from a Licensed Practitioner meeting the requirements as described in Medical Certificate Criteria. The Employer must make this request during the absence and prior to the employee’s return to work.
