Common use of – Formal Grievance/Principal Clause in Contracts

– Formal Grievance/Principal. If the grievance has not been resolved in Step 1, the grievant may file a written grievance within five (5) working days of the Step 1 meeting. Within five (5) working days of the receipt of the grievance, the designated representative of the Board shall meet with the Association in an effort to resolve the grievance. Affected teachers may be present at such a meeting. Step 3 – Superintendent If the grievance has not been resolved at Step 2, the grievance shall be promptly transmitted to the Superintendent who shall have five (5) working days thereafter to approve or disapprove the grievance. If the grievance is transmitted directly to the Superintendent, he shall have ten (10) working days from receipt to approve or disapprove it.
