FORMAL PROCEDURE FOR PROCESSING GRIEVANCES. 7.4.1 The grievant shall have the right to be represented at all stages of the grievance procedure by any representative of his choice; however, if the Union is not chosen as the representative of an individual grievant, the Union shall have the right to have a representative present at each step of the grievance procedure and this representative may participate to the extent of presenting the position or interpretation of the Union.
