Common use of GENERAL PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION Clause in Contracts

GENERAL PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION. All nonpublic school and nonpublic agency services shall be provided consistent with the area of certification specified by CDE Certification and as defined in California Education Code section 56366 et seq., and shall ensure that facilities are adequate to provide LEA students with an environment, which meets all pertinent health and safety regulations. When CONTRACTOR is a nonpublic school, CONTRACTOR’s general program of instruction shall: (a) utilize evidence-based practices and predictors and be consistent with LEA’s standards regarding the particular course of study and curriculum; (b) include curriculum that addresses mathematics, literacy and the use of educational, assistive technology and transition services; (c) be consistent with CDE’s standards regarding the particular course of study and curriculum; (d) provide the services as specified in the student’s IEP and ISA. Students shall have access to: (a) State Board of Education (SBE) - adopted Common Core State Standards (“CCSS”) for curriculum and the same instructional materials for kindergarten and grades 1 to 8, inclusive; and provide standards – aligned core curriculum and instructional materials for grades 9 to 12, inclusive, used by a local education agency (LEA), that contracts with the nonpublic school:
