General Relationship Between the Parties. The relationship between the parties is that of independent contractor. The parties to this Agreement do not intend, and nothing herein shall be interpreted so as, to create a partnership, joint venture or employee relationship between NSM and any one or more of NM or any member of the Navios Group. NSM will carry out the Services in respect of the Vessels as agent for and on behalf of NM.
