General Release of Unknown Claims. In connection with the foregoing releases set forth in this Section 10(a), except as expressly set forth therein, each of PRAECIS and Amgen hereby waives the benefits of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code which provides: "A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE WHICH, IF KNOWN BY HIM, MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR."

General Release of Unknown Claims. It is understood and agreed by you that this is a full and final release applying not only to all claims as defined above that are presently known, anticipated or disclosed to you, but also to all claims as defined above that are presently unknown, unanticipated, and undisclosed to you.
