General Training Requirements for All Caregivers. 1. All caregivers must comply with CAP GEN.55500 and be assessed annually which include the six (6) elements described in CAP GEN.55500 2. For all caregivers, retraining and reassessment of employee competency must occur when problems are identified with employee performance. 3. Caregivers on extended leave of absence must complete onboarding competencies before returning to their assigned tasks. a. Caregivers taking greater than six (6) month of leave must complete the “new caregiver” expectations and onboard training.
