Geophysical Surface Utility Designating – Quality Level B (QLB. CARDNO will utilize surface geophysical methods to interpret the presence of subsurface utilities and use electromagnetic equipment to detect and designate the selected subsurface utilities. CARDNO will also perform Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to attempt to locate any utilities or features that are non-conductive in nature. This scope of services is based on 109,400 lft of QLB services and 3 days of GPR. The XXX limits are presented in the attached Exhibits A, A-1 and A-2. It should be noted that overall quality and vertical penetration of GPR data is entirely dependent on the composition of subsurface materials. Highly electrically conductive materials typically serve to attenuate the electromagnetic radar energy and not allow for significant depth penetration. Therefore, while due care will be exercised in the acquisition and interpretation of GPR measurements, the CONSULTANT and CARDNO can offer no warranties or guarantees with respect to existing subsurface conditions. Using the aforementioned technology, CARDNO will provide paint markings or flags to show the approximate horizontal position of the desired utilities. CARDNO will prepare and provide field sketches depicting approximate locations of the utilities to the surveyors for field collection. The field sketches will also be accompanied by a XXX point sheet, depicting each utility line designated in the field followed by the number of points (flags) that are to be collected on each line.

  • Potable Water Contractor shall provide potable water and ice for the Stage 2 Site use, and ensure that a safe and plentiful supply of potable water and ice is available for all activities on the Stage 2 Site until Substantial Completion of Subproject 3. The water and ice for human consumption shall be of suitable quality.
