Grading Practices. Using departmentally agreed upon standards, adjunct faculty members shall have the authority and responsibility to determine grades and the results of other evaluations of students. It is expected that (a) standards for performance are provided to the students in advance of assessment/evaluations; (b) grading is based on performance and/or achievement and is not arbitrary, prejudiced, or capricious; (c) grades are adequately documented; (d) assignment of and submission of grades are consistent with College policies and rules; and (e) grading and feedback on assignments will be timely.
