Graphene and graphene oxide production. The production approaches of graphene and graphene oxide are well known, and information can be found in several papers, as well as in the Ferrari et al. (2015) report about the European graphene roadmap. As an example, few approaches are reported here: • Dry exfoliation: it is performed in vacuum, air, or inert environment, splitting of LM into atomically thin sheets via mechanical, electrostatic, or electromagnetic forces. These methods can be used both at lab scale and at industry scale to produce graphene. • Liquid exfoliation: it is done in both aqueous and non-aqueous solvents, exploiting ultrasounds to extract individual layers. The LPE process generally involves three steps: (1) dispersion in a solvent;
