The Group Orientation clause defines the process and requirements for introducing new members to a group, organization, or team. Typically, this clause outlines the necessary steps, such as attending orientation sessions, reviewing key policies, or completing specific training modules before fully participating in group activities. Its core practical function is to ensure that all new members are adequately informed and prepared, promoting consistency, safety, and a smooth integration into the group environment.
Group Orientation. In the event the District conducts a group orientation, CSEA shall have one (1) hour of paid release time for two (2) CSEA representatives.
Group Orientation. During the course of training in recruit classes, police recruits will be advised of the representative status of the F.O.P. In addition, a fact sheet prepared by the F.O.P. and approved by the Department Director, which describes the goals and objectives, voluntary nature of membership, procedures for making and revoking allotments for the payment of F.O.P. dues, the procedure for processing grievances, and the coverage and scope of this Agreement, may be provided. Such information shall not be presented in a way that could be construed as critical of the City or in a way that indicates that membership in the F.O.P. is mandatory. The F.O.P. shall be allowed one hour with the recruit class to distribute copies of the fact sheet and this Agreement, and to discuss organizational goals, policies, procedures and this Agreement.
