Common use of Handling of Personal Information Clause in Contracts

Handling of Personal Information. The Registry shall notify the Registrar of the purposes for which Personal Information submitted to the Registry by the Registrar is collected, the intended recipients (or categories of recipients) of such Personal Information, and the mechanism for access to and correction of such Personal Information. The Registry shall take all steps required by applicable laws, rules, and regulations to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction. The Registry shall not use or authorize the use of Personal Information in a way that is incompatible with the notice provided to the Registrars or applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The Registry may from time to time use the demographic data collected for statistical analysis, provided that this analysis will not disclose individual Personal information and provided that such use is compatible with the notice provided to the Registrars regarding the purpose and procedures for such use.
