HEALTH INSURANCE PROTECTION. A. The Board shall contribute to a single membership in an approved Group Hospitalization and Major Medical Plan for all teachers who wish to have the protection. Approval of said Group Hospitalization and Major Medical Plan to be granted by the Board and the Association. The Board will contribute at the rate of 80% (eighty percent) per year toward a single plan premium or 80% (eighty percent) toward a family plan premium. Teachers hired after January 1, 2010 may only enroll in the approved Group Hospitalization and Major Medical Single or Family High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). B. A teacher whose initial employment with the School Corporation is part time and whose employment begins after September 1, 1985, or a teacher who requests part time employment after September 1, 1985, and who has been or is presently employed by the School Corporation shall have the Board contribution to this program prorated according to the percent of the time so employed.
