Common use of Health Spending Account (HSA) for Extended Health Clause in Contracts

Health Spending Account (HSA) for Extended Health. Subject to the insurer’s plan for eligible expenses, effective January 1, 2024, $300 per year on the basis of: • Credit carry forward - the HSA amount is allocated at the beginning of the year. The unused credits in the year are carried forward for one additional year. If these are not used by the end of year 2, the amounts are forfeited. • Coordination of benefits (COB) - claims are required to go through all other sources (including COB) before HSA funds can be accessed.
