Common use of Higher Ranking Pay Clause in Contracts

Higher Ranking Pay. Where any employee is at the request of the Deputy Chief or Chief required to perform the duties of a higher-ranking position, such employee shall be paid at the rate on the gridline of the higher-ranking position that provides an increase. To be eligible for such higher-ranking pay, the employee must perform such duty for a period of one (1) day.

Where any employee is at the request of the Deputy Chief Supervisor or Chief Department Head required to perform the duties of a higher-higher ranking position, such employee shall be paid at the rate on the gridline of the higher-higher ranking position that provides an increase. To be eligible for such higher-higher ranking pay, the employee must perform such duty for a period of one (1) day.

Higher Ranking Pay. Where any employee is is, at the request of the Deputy Chief or Chief a Manager, required to perform the duties of a higher-ranking position, such employee shall be paid at the rate on the gridline of the higher-ranking position that provides an increase. To be eligible for such higher-ranking pay, the employee must perform such duty duties for a period of one two (12) dayconsecutive days. Payment will commence from the first day of the approved scheduled absence.
