Scope and Definitions 1. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to standards, technical regulations, and conformity assessment procedures as defined in the WTO TBT Agreement in so far as they affect trade covered by this Agreement.

All references to “$” or dollar amounts will be to lawful currency of the United States of America. Any representation or warranty contained herein as to the enforceability of a contract shall be subject to the effect of any bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, moratorium or other similar law affecting the enforcement of creditors’ rights generally and to general equitable principles (regardless of whether such enforceability is considered in a proceeding in equity or at law).
