Common use of Hoisting and Rigging Clause in Contracts

Hoisting and Rigging. Seller may not bring to or use onsite any hoisting and rigging equipment that contains any SAE Grades 5, 8, or 8.2 fasteners or ASTM Grade A325 fasteners identified on the “DOE Suspect Bolt Headmark List” which can be found at Company’s Contracts web site (see Part 1.15 for address). For purposes of this paragraph, “hoisting and rigging equipment” means: (1) Overhead and gantry cranes as defined in 29 C.F.R. § 1910.179; (2) Crawler, locomotive, and truck cranes as defined in 29 C.F.R. § 1910.180; (3) Derricks, as defined in 29 C.F.R. § 1910.181; and (4) Associated lifting devices such as slings, lifting fixtures, and lifting attachments.
