Common use of Holiday Pay and Schedule Clause in Contracts

Holiday Pay and Schedule. All employees will be expected to continue sharing the responsibility for working on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day before Christmas, and Christmas Day. Hours worked on such holidays shall be paid premium pay at one and one-half (1.5) times the employee's regular straight-time rate of pay. An employee will be entitled to holiday pay if the majority of the employee's hours fall on the designated holiday.
