Home Energy Score Updates. In addition to providing homeowners with a Score at the time of the original energy assessment, Assessors and Partners can issue updated Home Energy Scores after the time of assessment. Home Energy Score Updates. In addition to providing homeowners with a Score at the time of the original energy assessment, Qualified Assessors and Partners can issue updated Home Energy Scores after the time of assessment. An updated Home Energy Score can be one of two types: 1. A home can be rescored if a Qualified Assessor performs an energy assessment after the improvements are made to the home. 2. A home can be rescored automatically each year without an additional assessment for up to 5 years after the initial home assessment. The new Score will list the original date of assessment but will indicate the most recent date that the home was scored. Qualified Assessors can provide an updated Home Energy Score to homeowners who are interested in having their homes scored using the latest version of the Scoring Tool. While a home’s Score is unlikely to change, other informa- tion used in generating the Score (e.g., reference points, utility costs) will be updated on an annual basis.
