Common use of Human Rights Act Clause in Contracts

Human Rights Act. The Employer and the Union recognize the rights of employees to work in an environment free from harassment, including sexual harassment, and discrimination. Where an employee alleges that harassment or discrimination has occurred on the job the employee shall have the right to grieve under the Collective Agreement. Where the Employer or the Union has received an allegation of harassment or discrimination, it will be investigated on a priority basis in accordance with this joint commitment.
