Title VI requires that no person in the United States of America shall, on the grounds of race, color, gender, or national origin be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity for which the City receives federal financial assistance. Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI has a right to file a formal complaint with the City. Any such complaint shall be in writing and filed with the City Title VI Coordinator within one hundred eighty (180) days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence. Title VI Discrimination Complaint Forms may be obtained from the City at no cost to the complainant, or on the City’s website at xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx, or by calling (000) 000-0000.

The Contractor shall make decisions with regard to selection and retention of sub-Contractors, procurement of materials and equipment and similar actions related to the Contract without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, or the presence of any physical, sensory, or mental disability. Compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and RCW 49.60, Law against Discrimination, and other related laws and statutes is required.
