Common use of Human Trafficking Clause in Contracts

Human Trafficking. Under § 2155.0061, Government Code, Contractor certifies that the individual or business entity named in this Contract is not ineligible to receive the specified contract and acknowledges that this Contract may be terminated, and payment withheld if this certification is inaccurate. Contractor acknowledges that TWC may not award a contract to a person convicted of any offense related to the direct support or promotion of human trafficking during the five-year period preceding the date of award and that if TWC determines that Contractor is ineligible to have accepted the Contract, TWC may immediately terminate the Contract without further obligation to Contractor.
