Common use of HVAC Technician Clause in Contracts

HVAC Technician. An employee who is a journeyman engaged in tracking and performing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work and performing a wide variety of other duties related to the installation, construction, operation, maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, mechanical equipment, sprinkler systems and other property of a similar nature. The employee shall possess journey level experience in performing extensive HVAC maintenance and repair. The employee may be required to direct the work of up to three (3) other lower-paid employees. The employee may be required to meet the public and shall be capable of performing such assignment with tact and diplomacy. The employee’s background of apprenticeship and experience must be such as to qualify the employee to perform these duties safely with skill and efficiency. The employee shall be required to possess Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigeration Certification of Compliance.
