Common use of Immediate Safety Concern Clause in Contracts

Immediate Safety Concern. When an employee believes that a work assignment will cause an immediate danger to themselves or the public, they will notify the supervisor or designee requesting a review of the situation before proceeding with the task. If there is disagreement after the supervisor’s review of the situation, the next level in the chain of command will make a final determination. The employee is expected to follow their direction, but may raise the issue to the department’s safety committee.
