Inclement Weather will mean the existence of rain or abnormal climatic conditions. (whether they be those of hail, snow, cold, high wind, severe dust storm, extreme high temperature or the like) by virtue of which it is either unsafe and/or unreasonable for employees to continue working when exposed to this weather. It is agreed that in the event of wet weather consultation will be held between the parties concerned with a view to reaching agreement to continue work. On reaching agreement, steps will be taken to ensure that work can continue in a safe and secure manner. Similarly, where necessary, employees will walk to and between covered areas to progress the work. In all cases, consideration will be given to ensuring that a safe workplace is provided and safe systems of work are employed.

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • Inclement Weather Days Employees shall not report to work when schools are closed for inclement weather. In an emergency situation (e.g. Board packet day) when an inclement weather closing occurs, an employee(s) may be called in to work if there is a supervisor present in the work location. Said employee(s) shall receive compensatory time off for the time worked.

  • Staffing Levels to deal with Potential Violence The Employer agrees that, where there is a risk of violence, an adequate level of trained employees should be present. The Employer recognizes that workloads can lead to fatigue and a diminished ability both to identify and to subsequently deal with potentially violent situations.

  • Adverse Weather Shall be only weather that satisfies all of the following conditions: (1) unusually severe precipitation, sleet, snow, hail, or extreme temperature or air conditions in excess of the norm for the location and time of year it occurred based on the closest weather station data averaged over the past five years, (2) that is unanticipated and would cause unsafe work conditions and/or is unsuitable for scheduled work that should not be performed during inclement weather (i.e., exterior finishes), and (3) at the Project.
