Common use of Independent Review and Inspection Clause in Contracts

Independent Review and Inspection. The Owner may undertake independent inspection of the installation of the Work. Such independent inspector shall operate on behalf of the Owner and shall act to protect the best interests of the Owner.

Independent Review and Inspection. The Owner may obtain independent review of the Contract Documents by a separate architect, engineer, contractor, or cost estimator under contract to or employed by the Owner. Such independent review shall be undertaken at the Owner's expense in a timely manner and shall not delay the orderly progress of the Work. The Owner may undertake independent inspection of the installation of the Workconstruction. Such independent inspector shall operate on behalf as the agent of the Owner and shall act have the authority to stop the work in order to protect the best interests of the Project or the Owner.
