INDEPENDENT REVIEW ORGANIZATION QUALIFICATION. The plan administrator shall enter into agreements for external appeals services with as many independent review organizations as deemed necessary after consultation with affected health benefit plan groups. The agreements shall set forth all terms which the plan administrator deems necessary to assure a full and fair review of appeals, and shall comply with AS 36.30 (the state procurement code).
