Common use of Individual Complaints Clause in Contracts

Individual Complaints. If an individual teacher has a personal complaint that he/she desires to discuss with the supervisor, he/she is free to do so without recourse to the grievance procedure. However, no complaint shall be adjusted without prior notification to the Association and opportunity for an Association representative to be present, nor shall any such adjustment of the complaint be inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement. In the administration of the grievance procedure, the interest of the teacher shall be the sole responsibility of the Association.
