Infectious or Contagious Diseases. Where infectious or contagious diseases are diagnosed or suspected, upon request of a Union Representative, the Hospital shall meet promptly with the Union to determine what steps, if any, are necessary to safeguard the health and safety of workers and patients. Any worker represented by the Local who may be at risk of exposure to an infectious agent or agents as a result of their work responsibilities shall be informed of what risk the patient poses and the measures that will be taken to protect the employee according to Hospital policy and procedure.
