Reduction of Hours. The Employer shall not reduce the weekly hours of work of an employee for the purpose of replacing such hours with another employee at a lower hourly rate of pay.

Reduction of Hours. If it is necessary to reduce the hours of a part-time position such that the incumbent of the position is no longer eligible to receive the full Employer's insurance contribution or is no longer eligible to participate in the Employer's insurance program, the Appointing Authority shall request volunteers for the position from among part-time employees in the same class, employment condition, and work area/principal place of employment. If one or more employees volunteer for the position, the most senior qualified volunteer shall be offered the position. If there are no volunteers, the least senior qualified employee in the same class, employment condition, and work area/principal place of employment shall be assigned to the position.
Reduction of Hours. 3.6.1 Regular employees shall not have their hours arbitrarily reduced for the purpose of increasing the working hours of regular part-time employees or assigning such hours to new hires or extra employees.

Reduction of Hours. Upon the request of an employee and with the written approval of the Appointing Authority and the Association, an employee may reduce his/her hours from full-time or otherwise change his/her employment condition to less than full-time, and may subsequently change his/her hours back to full-time with the written approval of his/her Appointing Authority. Such transactions shall not constitute a layoff or transfer pursuant to this Article.

Reduction of Hours. Where there has been a reduction of hours worked in a store of more than twenty percent (20%), part-time employees whose hours have been reduced significantly, will be granted a transfer to another store in the province area in order to maximize their hours under the following conditions: 1. The decrease in hours worked shall be measured over a period of eight (8) consecutive weeks, compared to the same time period in the previous year. 2. In developing a solution, the Employer and the Union shall seek to minimize the impact of part-time employees transferring to other stores in the province. An employee will not transfer to a store or department which has experienced a similar reduction of hours.
