Common use of Informal Meeting with the Supervisor Clause in Contracts

Informal Meeting with the Supervisor. Within ten (10) working days after an Employee becomes aware of an occurrence of an incident, the aggrieved Employee(s) is encouraged to discuss the matter with their immediate Supervisor. At the option of the aggrieved Employee(s), the Association Representative may be present at the meeting. The purpose of the meeting shall be to review the circumstances giving rise to the incident, and to determine whether the matter can be satisfactorily resolved without recourse to the grievance procedure. Within five (5) working days of the Supervisor’s written response, a grievance may be filed if the matter is not resolved at the informal meeting with the Supervisor.
