The "Innovative Work Schedules" clause establishes the framework for implementing non-traditional or flexible working hours within an organization. Innovative Work Schedules. An innovative schedule is defined as a work schedule that requires a change, modification or waiver of any provisions of this Employment Agreement. Written innovative work schedules may be established by mutual agreement between the Hospital and the nurse involved. Prior to the implementation of a new innovative work schedule, the Employer and the Association will review and determine conditions of employment relating to that work schedule. Where innovative schedules are utilized, the Employer retains the right to revert back to the work schedule which was in effect immediately prior to the innovative work schedule, after at least thirty (30) days’ advance notice to the nurse.

At the time of execution of this Agreement, agreed innovative schedules are those set out in Appendices C, D, E and F.

Prior to the implementation of a new innovative work schedule, the Employer and the Union will promptly meet for the purpose of discussing the terms and conditions of employment relating to that work schedule. Innovative work schedules shall be in writing and are subject to initial mutual agreement between the Hospital and the employee involved.
Innovative Work Schedules. An innovative schedule is defined as a work schedule that requires a change, modification or waiver of any provisions of this Employment Agreement and are included as ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇ (▇▇▇ Hour Shift Schedule); Addendum 3 (Twelve Hour Shift Schedule); Addendum 4 (Sixteen Hour Shift Schedule); and Addendum 7 (Night Shift Innovative Schedule). Written innovative work schedules may be established by mutual agreement between the Hospital and the nurse involved. Prior to the implementation of a new innovative work schedule, the Employer and the Association will review and determine conditions of employment relating to that work schedule. Where innovative schedules are utilized, the Employer retains the right to revert back to the eight (8) hour day schedule or the work schedule which was in effect immediately prior to the innovative work schedule, after at least four (4) weeks' advance notice to the nurse.
Innovative Work Schedules. An innovative work schedule is defined as a work schedule that requires a change, modification, or waiver of any provisions of this Employment Agreement. Written innovative work schedules may be established by mutual agreement between the Hospital and the employee involved. Prior to the implementation of a new innovative work schedule that impacts more than one employee, the Employer and the Union will review and determine conditions of employment relating to that work schedule. Where innovative schedules are utilized, the Employer retains the right to revert back to the eight (8) hour day schedule or the work schedule which was in effect immediately prior to the innovative work schedule, after at least two (2) weeks’ advance notice to the employee. 7.3.1 Prior to ending an innovative schedule used for more than one employee in a unit that has already been agreed to by the Hospital and the Union in Appendices A, B and C, the Hospital will meet with the Union to discuss the impact(s) of ending the innovative schedule(s) on employees in the unit.
Innovative Work Schedules. An innovative work schedule is defined as a work schedule that requires a change, modification or waiver of any provisions of this Agreement. It is further agreed that when an employee and the Employer agree to an innovative work schedule that would vary from this Agreement, that agreement shall be by mutual consent and in writing by the Employer and the employee concerned. Under this Agreement, it is understood that existing innovative work schedule agreements at the time this Agreement goes into effect, may be continued by the Employer, as well as placing other employees on such existing innovative work schedule agreements in the future by mutual written agreement between the Employer and the employee. (The Union shall be provided a copy of such future agreements.) Prior to implementation of other newly developed innovative work schedules after this Agreement takes effect, the Employer and the Union will review and mutually determine what changes, modifications or waivers of any provisions of this Agreement shall be agreed upon in writing. Under any innovative work schedule agreements, the specific waived premium pay provisions of this Agreement shall not apply and the agreement shall be in writing. 8.8.1 Where innovative work schedules are used, the Employer retains the right to revert back to either an eight (8) hour workday schedule or the work schedule and Agreement provisions, which were in effect for the affected employee(s) immediately prior to the commencement of the innovative work schedule, after at least thirty (30) days’ advance notice to such employee(s). Should an employee wish to revert from the innovative schedule to the normal schedule worked by other employees in the Department, the employee must inform the Department Manager at least thirty (30) days in advance of the requested change date, and the Employer will reschedule the employee for the first available opening for such a position in the schedule after the requested change date.
Innovative Work Schedules. Other innovative work schedules (except normal work schedules [8.1]) may be established in writing by the Employer with the consent of the nurse involved and prior notification to the Association for the purpose of developing the terms and conditions of the new work schedule. An established innovative work schedule may be discontinued by either party giving the other party at least forty-five (45) days' advance written notice of discontinuance. Should nurses indicate an interest in discontinuing an innovative schedule, such interest must be evidenced in writing by a majority of the nurses working the innovative schedule.
Innovative Work Schedules. An innovative work schedule is defined as a work schedule that may require a change, modification, or waiver of certain provisions of this Agreement. Innovative work schedules may be established by the Hospital with the consent of the nurse involved subject to the following minimum conditions: 7.3.1 The innovative work schedule shall be in writing, identifying in detail the type of schedule to be worked, the contractual provisions to be waived, and the terms to be substituted for the contractual provisions that are waived. A copy of the written innovative work schedule will be given to the AssociationUnion and, upon request, discussed at Conference Committee prior to implementation. 7.3.2 The innovative work schedule shall be signed by the nurse working it and the nurse’s immediate supervisor. 7.3.3 Articles 7 (except Section 7.7 Meal/Rest Periods) and 9 (except Sections 9.1 Shift Differential, 9.7 Work in Advance of Shift, and 9.10 Change in classification) and Section 11.3 Notification of this Agreement may be changed, modified or waived in a written innovative work schedule. The Hospital may not post rotating shifts. When a nurse requests to rotate shifts, the rotating shift may exceed fourteen (14) days. An agreement regarding the terms of the rotating shifts will be made in Conference Committee. 7.3.4 All other terms and conditions of this Agreement shall continue in effect unless changed, modified, or waived with the consent of the Hospital, the AssociationUnion, and the nurse choosing to work an innovative work schedule. 7.3.5 Where innovative work schedules are utilized, during the first three (3) months, both the nurse and the Hospital reserve the right to revert back to the schedule which was in effect immediately prior to the innovative schedule by giving at least thirty days’ advance written notice to the other party. After the nurse has been on an innovative schedule for three (3) months or more, the Hospital will not be expected to give a RN the same schedule which was in effect prior to the innovative work schedule, however, the Hospital will make every effort to work out a mutually agreeable schedule and will maintain the FTE status the nurse had during the innovative schedule. 7.3.6 The Hospital Staffing Office shall maintain copies of all innovative work schedules.
Innovative Work Schedules. Innovative work schedules may be established between the Employer and the Employee(s) by mutual agreement. Such agreement must be in written form stating conditions which will be in conformance with Collective Bargaining terms of Agreement and signed by the Employer and the Union.
