Common use of Inspection and Duplication Clause in Contracts

Inspection and Duplication. The faculty member has the right and responsibility to inspect his/her file at reasonable times. Upon written authorization by the faculty member, the individual's designated representative and/or AAUP-CSU will have access to inspect and duplicate the contents of the file at reasonable times. The Administration will provide forms for this purpose, although access will not normally be denied solely because the authorization is not written on the designated form. The Administration will not levy a charge for the inspection of the files, but it may levy a reasonable charge for the duplication of the contents of a file.
