Acting Chair. If the post of Department Chair is vacant (or if the Chair is on extended leave) and must be filled temporarily while the selection process described above proceeds, the Xxxxxxx will designate an acting Department Chair upon consultation with the full-time faculty. If reorganization results in the splitting or merging of departments in which the composition of the department changes by more than twenty percent (20%), the departments thus formed shall be declared to have a Chair vacancy. The acting Chair procedure will be followed in such instances. Normally an acting Chair shall serve no longer than twelve (12) months.

If the Department Chair is on leave of absence or otherwise unable to fulfil the duties of Chair for a period of longer than 12 months, he/she shall resign as Chair, and the Xxxx will conduct an election for a new Department Chair .

The Acting Chair’s primary responsibilities shall be to schedule periodic meetings and votes of the Regional Council as needed and to serve as the point of contact for disputes within the Region. The Acting Chair must be either a Member from a county within a Region, such as a county commissioner or their designee, or a Member from a city or town within a Region, such as a mayor or city or town council member or their designee.

  • Notice of Change of Contact Person or Key Personnel The Grantee shall notify in writing the assigned System Agency contract manager within ten business days of any change to the Grantee’s Contact Person or Key Personnel.

  • Chairperson The Chairperson will supervise and control the affairs of the Committee and shall exercise such supervisory powers as may be given him/her by the Members of the Committee.   • Negotiating Committee The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee comprised of representatives of the Association for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement. The number of nurses on the Negotiating Committee is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. The Hospital agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations with the Hospital for a renewal agreement up to, but not including, arbitration.

  • Acquiring Person An “Acquiring Person” shall mean any person (including any “person” as such term is used in Sections 13(d)(3) or 14(d)(2) of the Exchange Act that, together with all Affiliates and Associates of such person, is the beneficial owner (as the term “beneficial owner” is defined under Rule 13d-3 or any successor rule or regulation promulgated under the Exchange Act) of 10% or more of the outstanding Common Stock. The term “Acquiring Person” shall not include the Company, any majority-owned subsidiary of the Company, any employee benefit plan of the Company or a majority-owned subsidiary of the Company, or any person to the extent such person is holding Common Stock for or pursuant to the terms of any such plan.   • Union Negotiating Committee Leave of absence shall be granted to not more than seven (7) employee representatives selected to negotiate the renewal of the Collective Agreement for necessary time off including travel time, direct negotiating time, and necessary preparation time. The Union shall reimburse the College for all pay during such leave except for the days scheduled by the parties for direct negotiations and up to a maximum of ten (10) days if required, for meetings of the Union Negotiating Committee to prepare for and to complete bargaining.
