Inspectional Services. Letter of Intent 6 is to be read in conjunction with this clause. (1) Recognizing the special needs of society for government services of an inspectional nature covering matters of public health and safety or in the Field of Resource Protection and Management, and that the need for the provision of such services cannot always be predicted accurately in advance, the parties agree that work schedules for employees engaged in such activities will be arranged on as flexible a basis as possible, consistent with the welfare of the employees concerned. In this respect, work schedules for the classifications of employees listed hereunder will be in accordance with the following paragraphs:
