Instruction Time. (a) The instructional day shall be 300 minutes commencing with the start of opening exercises or the start of instruction, whichever occurs first, and ending with the students’ dismissal from school exclusive of lunch or nutrition breaks and the morning and afternoon recesses. (b) The Board shall ensure that each full-time teacher in its elementary school is assigned to provide instruction to pupils for not more than 1300 minutes for each period of five (5) instructional days. Part-time teachers shall have their instructional time pro-rated.
