Interim Design Submissions Clause Samples
The "Interim Design Submissions" clause requires the contractor or design professional to provide periodic design documents or plans at specified stages of a project before the final design is completed. These submissions typically include drawings, specifications, or other deliverables that reflect the current progress and are submitted for review, feedback, or approval by the client or project manager. By mandating interim submissions, this clause ensures ongoing oversight, allows for early identification and correction of issues, and helps keep the project aligned with the client's requirements and expectations.
Interim Design Submissions. Design-Builder shall submit to Owner interim design submissions for the Work at forty percent (40%), sixty-five percent (65%), and one hundred percent (100%) design completion. On or about the time of the scheduled design submissions, Design-Builder and Owner shall meet and confer about the submissions, with Design-Builder identifying during such meetings, among other things, the evolution of the design and any significant changes or deviations from the Contract Documents, or, if applicable, previously submitted design submissions. Minutes of the meetings will be maintained by Design-Builder and provided to all attendees for review. Following the design review meeting, Owner shall review and approve the interim design submissions in a time that is consistent with the turnaround times agreed upon by the Parties and set forth in the Project Schedule.
