INTERIM PERIOD FOR DIFFERENT POSITION. Unit members who are offered and accept a different position within SMCPS shall serve an interim period of one year from the effective date of the new position. During the interim period, if work performance is less than effective, the employee may be returned to a position comparable to the one previously held. The appropriate supervisor shall inform the employee in writing of the areas of weakness and give suggestions and supports as required via a plan of assistance, and adequate time for the employee to demonstrate improvement.
