Common use of Intermittent Sampling System Clause in Contracts

Intermittent Sampling System. (a) The Operator will obtain (or cause to be obtained) representative samples according to the method described in ISO 8943. (b) The sampling period for LNG movements shall be only that period in which the flow rate is sufficiently stable, and shall exclude the initial start up upsurge in the flow rate and the decreased flow rate before shut down. If a sudden change in the flow rate or in the pressure occurs in the transfer line during the sampling period (for example, due to a cargo pump being tripped, or an emergency shut off device being activated) sampling shall be temporarily suspended until the flow rate of LNG is normalised. (c) The samples shall be either analysed by online gas chromatograph as, or collected into Constant Pressure / Floating Piston sample cylinders and analysed by an offline gas chromatograph.
