Involuntary Change Of Assignment/Transfer. Any change of assignment or transfer made without the employee's consent will be considered involuntary and will take place if: a. There is a consultation between the employee and immediate supervisor at a mutually agreed time with at least 24 hours notice and an Association Representative present. The supervisor will issue a letter summarizing the consultation. b. The reason for the change of assignment or transfer is not discriminatory, arbitrary or capricious. Upon request, the reasons shall be given in writing. c. When the involuntary change of assignment involves a shift change, transfer, or change of work site, the employee(s) selected shall be the least senior qualified employee(s) and only after qualified volunteers have been sought.
